Following the recent development and in the light of the ongoing campaign by the Nigerian youths to End SARS, and which has also seen the Inspector General of Police: Mohammed Adamu put a stop to this group; the executive Governor of Rivers State (Wike) has declared a stop to this campaign and protest in his state.
He issued this statement through the commissioner of information and communications of the state that there is no need for the campaign since the anti robbery squad has been disbanded and ceases to exist. This he said because of the proposed #End SARS protest scheduled to hold today in Rivers State.
Consequently, Governor Wike advices, warns and at the same time calls on the general public as well as the parents and guardians, “to ensure that there children or wards do not violate this order; for any attempt to violate this order, the person will be brought to book.”
What’s your take on this, do you think is the right decision not to allow the youths express themselves just like the others?
