Death from COVID-19 touches the heart of the Mexican Church as cases from the pandemic continue to increase everyday with an average infection rate of more than 3,500 people per day.
This is quite a horrible situation as they have recorded many deaths and serious cases from the covid-19. However, in recent times, the reopening of some non essential activities have taken place but might be halted if the situation persist.
The Mexican Catholic Church has suffered greatly from this situation having closed the churches in order to avoid the further spread of this virus. Although, some regions are now reopening with some measures in place to curtail any further cases.
Meanwhile, Aleteia explains that The number of Mexican priests and religious who have died from the coronavirus has received very little publicity. Thus, the accumulated cases up to the first half of June are 24 priests, four deacons and two religious who have died since the first case was detected in Mexico on February 27, 2020.
The Mexican Church calls for our prayers in order to avoid further deaths and eradicate the virus from Mexico and from the world at large!
